Anne Alden Reed writes My husband Larry and I won't be at the reunion, but we send a hello and best wishes to all my classmates. We still live at Hilton Head, South Carolina. Larry is retired, and I'm maybe 1/4 retired. I'm still working as a CPA in public accounting. Between us, we have five grandchildren. The youngest is my daughter's baby, an irrepressible three year old named Carson. I still have the love of sports I had at Westtown. After washing out at field hockey at Westtown I persisted in college at Bryn Mawr, and ended up captain of the team. Margaret Byerly (hi Margaret!) and I played against Barbie Gibson and Barbie Briggs when they were at Swarthmore and we were at Bryn Mawr. After college it was tennis. Now it's golf. I've been our club champion several times and play in a lot of local events. What a fabulous sport, perfect now that running is not a good option. You know you are getting old when your friends call each other "girls." It used to be "hi ya babes" (hi Livy! hi Gibson!). Best to all, Anne Anne Alden Reed <lrar |
