Sydney is now 3 years old and lives in San Diego with our son Ross (Westtown grad) and Tara. They sold their house before the real estate meltdown and are renting nearer the ocean for the duration. Ross is a geographic information systems (GIS) computer specialist for the Vista Irrigation District, which mostly irrigates houses now. Tara just took a job with Itron. They sell utility meters, among other things. Eliza, age 2, and Adeline, 6 months, are in Santa Fe with our daughter Rebecca (also a Westtown grad) and James Hogan. James is a hydrogeologist in the Surface Water Quality Bureau of the New Mexico Environment Department. Rebecca is a biochemist and occasional part time medical writer during the periods Eliza and Adeline are asleep. Graham was on-site for Adeline's birth, and actually left in charge of Eliza
Our younger son James Miles (not a Westtown grad) works as an attorney in the Policy and Planning division of the EPA in DC. He is engaged to Erin Smith from Madison, Wisconsin, also an attorney in the EPA. There is a ring, but no wedding date. Deborah still challenges young minds at the Downingtown Middle School and is president of our local library. Graham is basically waiting around to see if a new economic order will show up in time to be useful for the remainder of his legal career in commercial real estate.
Deborah's father Francis Brown lives in our apartment and is doing fine at 92. My mother Polly Miles at 86 is doing the same in Fresno, California. She plans to attend her 70th Westtown Reunion this year. We spent last Christmas with her and Ross, Tara and Sydney in Fresno, and are on to Santa Fe during Deb's Spring Break.
